The Freedom knot is a knot which can be used for tying shoelaces. Also known as a bow or bunny ears. This knot is more resistant to coming untied than the standard shoelace knot.
Like the standard shoelace knot, the freedom knot easily comes untied when either shoelace end is pulled. The harder the bunny ears are pulled, the shorter the two 'nips' become. The freedom knot is a modified surgeon's knot, which is a more secure version of a reef knot. The freedom knot differs from the surgeon's knot by having the ends of the laces pushed back through the knot, creating the two loops ("bunny ears") and allowing the knot to be easily untied.
